The time has come to set New Jersey free from the chains of the Democrats for the past eight years. Don’t be fooled by the rhetoric. Key reasons and policy positions to vote Republican include:

• Affordability and Taxes: Republicans frequently argue that New Jersey’s high cost of living and some of the highest taxes in the country are a result of decades of Democratic control. They propose cutting taxes and making state government “leaner and more efficient” to make the state a less expensive place to live.
• Property Tax Relief and Education: A core part of the Republican platform is a new plan for school funding that they argue would fully fund schools and lower property taxes for residents. They suggest that state aid should be more equitably distributed and that increased state funding should directly result in lower local tax levies.
• Fiscal Responsibility: Republicans criticize what they describe as “record spending” and “pork projects” in the state budget, arguing for more responsible budgeting to avoid creating debt and “mortgaging” children’s futures.
